Everything. Well, almost anything. Cabbage, potatoes, carrots, pineapple chicken, steak, corn, tortillas — whatever you want to grill, just keep it separate for your friends with dietary restrictions.
What’s the healthiest way to grill?
According to WebMD, using fat-free or low-fat marinades — “the simple act of marinating before grilling has been shown to reduce formation of HCAs by as much as 92% to 99%.” Use a fat-free or low fat marinade on veggies meats, fish, and poultry.
Is it healthier to cook with charcoal or propane?
According to Men’s Health, propane produces less PAHs and HCAs — it’s the healthier option. To reduce by another 90%: trim fat, marinate, soak meat in vinegar or lemon juice, and flip frequently.
Is it bad to grill everyday?
There is only so much research about grilling [specifically meats] and it’s potential risks, and so it’s recommended that you grill meat no more than twice a week. Read our favorite tips on how to grill safely here.

Is baking healthier than frying?
Baking is much healthier than pan frying or deep frying, especially if you’d have to use oil.
Are baked goods healthy?
The truth hurts — most baked goods are packed with refined sugar and flour and “completely devoid of fiber, proten, vitamins, and minerals — but you can still save hundreds of calories and dozens of grams of sugar by choosing one kind of goodie over another.”

How do you bake healthy?
- Swap out white flour for wholegrain, oat, spelt, or barley.
- Bake with unsaturated fats (like sunflower spread instead of butter).
- Use sweet vegetables like carrots, beetroots, or courgettes. You can also make use of sweet fruits like apples, berries, pineapples, and dates — allowing for less refined sugar.
- Watch your portion sizes and overall, bake to share … nothing like surprising your friends with a sweet treat!
